41. Paris Peace Conference (January 4, 1919)
Explanation: The Paris Peace conference was held at Paris, France. It was hosted by the French leader Clemenceau. Clemenceau along with Woodrow Wilson (America), Vittorio Orlando (Italy), and David Lloyd George (Great Britain) were called the big four. They were the most influential and important people at the meeting. Woodrow Wilson mentioned hos 14 point plan while at the meeting. It was his idea of how world peace could be achieved. His fourteenth point, which mentions the League of nations, was used and is still used. The meeting had the purpose of resolving the mess of the great war. They talked about war guilt clauses, military restrictions, who gets what land, and so on. The objection was to gain peace within Europe. The meeting took place over many month's.

42. The Treaty of Versailles (January 28, 1919)
Explanation: The Treaty of Versailles is the end product of the Paris Peace Conference. Many countries worked very hard for months to find the resolution to the Great War. The Treaty of Versailles was the document that was supposed to change Europe for the better. The Treaty gives the entire blame of the war upon Germany. Germany is given war guilt clause, military restrictions, and is blockaded. The Treaty was supposed to solve the mystery of what to do with Europe, but it left many people upset and unsatisfied.
